Volunteer At FACT
No matter what time you have or what skills you have, FACT Cancer Support can offer you a special and rewarding volunteer opportunity. We have a range of roles available at our main centre in Gateshead, in our shops in Blaydon and Sunderland and also based in the community. We appreciate your commitment to regular hours, but you can also join our bank of volunteers to help on an occasional basis.
Volunteers are vital at FACT
Without people like you, your family and friends supporting us with your time, we couldn’t offer our support services to people and families affected by cancer or deliver our Cancer Awareness and Education sessions and activities in the community. From making a cuppa, to driving our van, welcoming people in reception, office admin, charity shops, community events and fundraising – there is something for everyone. Sign up as an individual, or with your family, friends and colleagues! (Under 16’s need parental permission.)
What roles are available?
It is important that you enjoy what you do at FACT and we have a wide variety of roles and help that we need. Some examples are below, but please let us know your ideas of how you can help too!
- Office & Admin
- Receptionist
- Van drivers & Drivers mates
- Handyman, DIY, gardening & maintenance
- Represent FACT in the community and at events.
- Charity shops – shop floor & stockroom
- Skills donations – do you have a skill, qualification or experience that you would like to support us with.
What does FACT expect from me as a volunteer?
