Student Counsellor Placement Opportunities
Counselling placements provide invaluable opportunities for trainees to develop their skills and integrate theory into practice; Enabling you to qualify and gain enhanced clinical experience as a therapist.
FACT’s dedicated clinical team and qualified supervisors provide mentoring to support your professional growth. We ensure a safe environment for students & volunteers to undertake their practise.
All placement therapists work weekly with a caseload of three or four clients, facilitating face-to-face and online sessions. FACT offers subsidised monthly clinical supervision. You will work with a wide range of clients struggling with cancer related health problems, grief, depression, anxiety, and low-self-esteem.
We provide vital therapeutic support for anyone affected by cancer, children, young people, adults, carers, friends, and families.
We consider student counsellors & psychotherapists, all applicants expected to:
Evidence a fitness to practise signed by course tutor.
Provide student membership with BACP/ NCS/or equivalent.
Provide a current enhanced DBS and Public Liability Insurance.
Supply two references.
Demonstrate a commitment to the role and fully engage in supervision.
Adhere to FACT’s policies & procedures.
The first 3 months of placement will be considered a probation period.
